Welcome to the LSU-HCSD Tobacco Control Initiative (TCI) The TCI website supports the efforts to reduce tobacco use among the under and un-insured residents of Louisiana by providing information on resources available at each public hospital and information for healthcare providers.

As a cross-cutting initiative of the LSU-HCSD Disease Management Program; TCI’s goal is to implement and evaluate evidence-based tobacco cessation services in Louisiana’s public hospitals.

The TCI tobacco cessation resource available at each public hospital combines behavioral counseling and pharmacotherapy to assist patients in their efforts to discontinue tobacco use.
